Our message to health workers in primary healthcare

|
|

There are now screening programmes for diabetes and hypertension in communities. People who are identified with high risk factors need to be examined in primary healthcare facilities. They should get proper counselling and treatment if necessary. Primary healthcare workers therefore need to follow training offered for NCD diagnosis and treatment. Facilities must stock sufficient NCD medicines. Health facility staff should supervise the volunteers in the community, to make their work more effective. Facilities can collaborate with community groups to improve physical activities and diet.
