On 13-14 May 2019, the SUNI-SEA Indonesia research team held a two-day workshop on “Literature Review and Secondary Data” in Central Java, with the following objectives:

  1. Complete the realist literature review protocol
  2. Conduct pilot searching of the literature
  3. Identify secondary data needed for SUNI-SEA and prepare the data request form

The first day of the workshop was opened by Ari Natalia Probandari, chairman of the research committee, who provided an overview of the SUNI-SEA project. The event was attended by key project personnel and stakeholders. Mr Sunaryo, an official of the Health Department of Surakarta, explained the policy for prevention and control of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) through Posbindu* and gave an analysis of the situation of NCD in Surakarta.

The workshop included various sessions by researchers and experts, including the technique of reviewing secondary data by Vitri Widyaningsih and Yusuf Ari Mashuri.

The discussion included the identification of secondary data sources to be used, variable selection, and synchronisation of financial management. The workshop ended in a positive light, with the chairman of the committee summarising planned activities for the SUNI-SEA project.

 

 

 

 

*Posbindu is a form of public participation in conducting early detection and monitoring of risk factors for non-communicable diseases (NCDs), carried out in an integrated manner, as a routine and periodic event.
